Qassiarsuk Open Town

Your visit to Qassiarsuk begins with coffee, homemade cake, and a hearty soup at the welcoming Café Thorhildur. You’ll then join local host Ellen Frederiksen and her family for a visit to their sheep farm, offering a glimpse into everyday life in rural South Greenland.

Continue to nearby Brattahlíð, founded around 985 CE by Erik the Red, where a guided tour brings this UNESCO-listed site to life through reconstructed Norse buildings and ancient ruins set within a remarkable historic landscape.
