That’s why we have introduced the ‘HX Greenland Promise’, designed to give you complete confidence should circumstances beyond our control affect your scheduled voyage.
In the highly unlikely scenario we must cancel your HX Greenland cruise - including any 2026 voyage where Greenland forms part of a wider expedition itinerary - or your own Government advises against travel, you can change your booking to another HX voyage AND receive an additional 20% Future Cruise Credit to use against your new HX voyage. Or you may opt for a full refund.

How it works
When you switch to another HX voyage instead of cancelling:
We apply the balance already paid to your new voyage booking
You receive an extra 20% Future Cruise Credit (FCC) which can be used against the balance of your new voyage or any other voyage booking
FCCs must be used within 90 days of issue, for a new voyage booking departing within 18 months of issue
What is the FCC based on?
Your FCC is calculated on the value of your original HX cruise fare (less discounts), excluding optional flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, add-ons and extras. Example: If your original cruise fare was 10,000, you will receive an additional 2,000 FCC to use toward a new HX voyage.
What happens to the money you have already paid?
All payments you have already made to HX for your original voyage booking - including optional flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, add-ons and extras - will be applied to your new voyage booking, once you have accepted your FCC.

Terms and Conditions
Booking are subject to the following HX Greenland Promise Terms & Conditions for voyages departing in 2026.
i. This offer applies to all existing and new bookings of the following HX voyages departing in 2026 where Greenland forms part of a wider expedition itinerary (“HX Greenland voyages”)
Discovering Greenland - From Reykjavik to Nuuk
Grand Greenland - The Icy Giants of Disko Bay
Grand Greenland - Mythical Lands of the North
Solar Eclipse Expedition 2026 - Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland
Greenland - The Ultimate Fjord and National Park Expedition
Arctic Island Odyssey - Svalbard, Greenland and Iceland
Serene Greenland - Exploring the Largest Fjord System on Earth
Serene Greenland – To the World’s Largest National Park
Northwest Passage – Across the Top of the World (Alaska to Greenland)

ii. Our promise to you is that in the event we must cancel your HX Greenland voyage or your own Government advises against travel you will have the following options:
(a) change your booking to another HX voyage across the HX global expedition portfolio AND accept a 20% Future Cruise Credit (“FCC”) to apply to this new HX voyage or any other HX voyage . All payments already made to HX for your original voyage booking (including optional flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, add-ons and extras) will be applied to your new voyage booking. Your FCC will be calculated on the value of your original HX cruise fare (less discounts) excluding optional flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, add-ons and extras; or
(b) request a full refund of the monies paid to HX in respect of all bookings made with HX, including all optional flights, hotels, transfers, excursions, add-ons and extras.
iii. This offer excludes and will not provide any FCC or refund in respect of the price of any travel or related bookings not made directly by HX or not paid to HX including any bookings made independently by yourself or other costs incurred by yourself in relation to your voyage. We recommend you obtain comprehensive travel insurance to cover such costs and that you take into account your own national government’s travel advisories.
iv. We reserve the right to withdraw or amend the offer at any time. Please check at the time of booking as to the current status of the offer.
v. This offer is not combinable with claims for or offers of compensation, refunds or price reductions. Bookings are non-transferable, non-changeable, and have no cash value.

HX Greenland Promise FCC Terms & Conditions
The following Terms & Conditions apply to any Future Cruise Credit (“FCC”) issued under our HX Greenland Promise:
i. To redeem an FCC a booking change to a new HX voyage or new booking must be:
a. made within 90 calendar days of the date the FCC is issued by us; and
b. for voyages that depart within 18 calendar months of the date the FCC is issued by us.
ii. Any FCC not redeemed in accordance with these Terms & Conditions shall lapse without further notice to you.
iii. Only 1 FCC may be redeemed per person and an FCC may not be transferred to another person.
iv. An FCC may be combined with other applicable offers, discounts or vouchers issued by us at the time of the new booking.
v. An FCC has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash, refunds, on-board credit, goods, services not included within the booking or other value. Any part of an FCC not fully redeemed or utilised shall lapse and the non-utilised balance shall not be exchanged for or refunded in cash, on-board credit, goods, services or other value.
vi. An FCC is not applicable to HX staff bookings, internal rates, Interline and Travel Agent rates.
