With your local guides, you’ll cruise aboard small expedition boats towards the site where renowned explorer Robert Peary collected meteorites to take to New York more than a century ago.  

Located at the foot of the vast inland ice sheet, you’ll pass majestic icebergs and soak up breathtaking views of the icescapes on your journey. At the site, you’ll find remnants of the structures Peary built to carry the meteorites to shore.

  • Included: Small boat cruise with local guides. 

  • Remarks/requirements: Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress according to the weather. Layers are recommended.  

  • Walking or Activity information: Involves physical activity on uneven surfaces and/or steep terrain. Not suitable if you have limited mobility. Includes an extended period aboard small expedition boat and there is a short walk at the landing site.
