This hike leads you into the high alpine of Thompson Pass, one of Alaska’s snowiest places in winter and a landscape of wildflowers and open views in summer. The loop offers a steady, rewarding walk with sights of distant glaciers, clear tarns, and the Chugach Mountains. Your guide shares stories of the area and old pack routes. Not available in early May due to snowpack.
