An Inuit delicacy

This excursion begins with a guided tour of Cambridge Bay as you travel to the community’s summer cabin.

Here, you’ll harvest Arctic char from the shore using traditional fish nets alongside local fishermen. Watch as the freshly caught char is prepared to be dried in the sun, where it will turn into piffy, a traditional Inuit delicacy. You'll then sample these char delights while listening to stories from your guide about Inuit life, the land and the area’s rich cultural history.
