Discover Greenland’s northernmost town, meet the community, and learn about life on the edge of the world.
  • Explore Qaanaaq, the northernmost town of Greenland.

  • Visit the town’s church, museum and women’s club.

  • Enjoy a traditional drum dance performance and listen to music from local musicians.

  • Get insight into local hunting culture, talk with the hunters, and visit the hunting exhibition.

One of the world’s most remote communities

Join us as we visit the Qaanaaq community in Greenland’s ‘Far North’ Avanersauq region.

In this remote area, Inuit traditions live on. In winter, locals don sealskin mittens and boots, and dogsleds regularly depart on hunting trips. As you explore the local church, museum and women’s club, and watch a traditional drum dance performance, you’ll get a glimpse into the way of life here.
