From the 2025/2026 season, Antarctica Suite guests departing from Ushuaia will enjoy an exclusive pre-expedition experience at the Arakur Resort & Spa. Set high in the Cerro Alarkén Nature Reserve, Arakur overlooks Ushuaia and the Beagle Channel, offering stylish interiors, panoramic views, and a calm sense of arrival before you venture south. On arrival in Ushuaia, our team will greet you and arrange your transfer to the resort. Your main luggage will be transported directly to the pier for embarkation, so you only need your personal items for the day, allowing you to relax completely into the experience.
At Arakur, you will be welcomed with a gourmet lunch before having time to unwind in the spa, take a swim in the indoor and outdoor pools, or simply enjoy the surrounding Patagonian landscape. The remote check-in process means everything is handled behind the scenes while you enjoy the resort, making your transition from land to ship as smooth and effortless as possible. Spa treatments and massages can also be arranged directly with the hotel, subject to availability. This premium pre-cruise experience is designed to help you begin your Antarctic journey rested, relaxed, and fully immersed in the natural beauty of Patagonia.

Duration: Approx. 5 hours (depending on charter flight arrival and ship departure times)
Upon arrival in Ushuaia, our team will assist with your luggage, followed by a 20-minute transfer to Arakur
Check-in will occur at the Arakur Hotel instead of onboard and we will arrange the transfer of your luggage from Arakur to your suite onboard
Remarks and requirements
Should you wish to enhance your experience with spa treatments or massages, these may be arranged directly with the hotel at an additional cost and are subject to availability
