Hiking in the High Arctic
Setting out from Savissivik, this tundra hike takes you along the foot of steep hills where Little Auks nest until around mid-August. Admire the Arctic flora that endures in the far north as your guide identifies the many species and their uses.
You’ll pause to rest at an enchanting lake, before following the shoreline back to Savissivik. Listen out for the occasional thunder-like rumble as icebergs crack around you.

Remarks/requirements: Please wear comfortable walking shoes and dress according to the weather. Layers are recommended.
Walking or Activity information: Involves a high level of physical activity over an extended period, in terrain that may often be uneven, slippery and steep. You are expected to carry your own backpack and equipment. Not suitable if you have limited mobility. Includes 3-4 hrs of walking.
