Walk through history, exploring the old town Tinganes – the 9th-century meeting site of the Vikings. Enjoy colourful old warehouses that are now fashionable offices, the 18th-century Lutheran cathedral, and small turf-roofed homes. Enter the old town and find yourself in a confusion of lanes and narrow passages, steps and rocks, and tiny black-tarred houses – a genuine and unique town from the Middle Ages.
