A short journey inland brings you to Oviedo, the capital of Asturias. On a guided walk of the historic quarter, you’ll discover the Gothic and Baroque architecture of the San Salvador Cathedral, home to the UNESCO-listed Cámara Santa – a pre-Romanesque chapel from the 8th century. Stroll along pedestrianised streets peppered with sculptures from local artists and admire the Medieval El Fontán Market and Alfons II Square. A panoramic drive will also showcase the distinctive Convention Centre, an architectural masterpiece by Santiago Calatrava.
