Cruise and hike your way through Greenland’s ancient past at the UNESCO site Aasivissuit–Nipisat.
  • Sail across Amarloq Fjord surrounded by Arctic stillness and raw beauty.

  • Step ashore at UNESCO-listed Nipisat Island, rich in cultural significance.

  • Uncover layers of Inuit history, from ancient hunting grounds to colonial-era ruins and missions.

  • Keep watch for seals, seabirds, and other Arctic wildlife as you cruise through pristine fjord waters.

A journey through time

Departing from Sisimiut aboard a nimble 12-passenger boat, you’ll cross Amarloq Fjord to reach Nipisat Island, part of the Aasivissuit–Nipisat UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You’ll then join a guided hike through a windswept landscape once home to ancient hunters, missionaries, and whalers. Now dominated by nature and birdlife, explore the ruins of Greenland’s second colony, where centuries of history linger.
