Take in the culture

Visit Kirkjubøur, the cultural centre at Streymoy. Admire the ruins of the 13th-century St Magnus Cathedral and visit the 11th-century Olavskirkjan church, which is still in use. The 900-year-old Roykstovan, an old bishopric, is considered the oldest log house in Europe and is now a museum. In Tórshavn, learn more about the Faroe Islands’ nature, culture and history at Tjóðsavnið - the National Museum.
