Be immersed in Norway’s breathtaking nature as you experience Tromsø and the dramatic Lyngen area.
Delve into Sámi culture and traditions and learn to drive a dog sled through the snowy wilderness.
If time allows, relax in tranquillity and soul-stirring surroundings on an unforgettable Arctic floating experience.
Day 1: Arrival in Tromsø
After arriving at Tromsø airport, you’ll be transferred to the hotel which will be your base for the next two nights. If time allows you will experience Arctic Floating on the way in the breath taking Ramfjord area. This an extraordinary adventure you won't want to miss, standing out as a must do among the myriad of exciting activities in Tromsø.
After your tranquil floating session, we'll usher you into the welcoming warmth of our camp, where hot beverages and snacks await. Our charming patio, complete with a crackling campfire, offers the perfect spot to enjoy your treats outdoors after your Floating session.
Day 2 - 3: Enjoy Norway’s great outdoors
Over the next two days, you’ll enjoy a selection of classic activities which give you great insight into the Norwegian outdoor lifestyle and culture.
You can also try dog sledding and lead a team of huskies through the soul-stirring Arctic wilderness. Together with your partner, you’ll learn how to drive your husky team and take turns holding the reins as you glide across the snow-dusted landscape. After, you can warm up with snacks by the open fire. Cosy thermal clothing is provided.
In the evening join us for Sámi storytelling and reindeer feeding. In a traditional lavvu, or Sami tent, you’ll gather around the open fire to hear stories about the way of life of the Indigenous Sámi people, their beliefs and history. You’ll then taste traditional Sámi food cooked right in front of you over the fire. You’re then invited to feed the reindeer that graze nearby and learn about reindeer herding, including the art of lasso throwing. You’ll even get to make your own keepsake from shed reindeer antlers.
After check-out on day 3, you’ll be transferred to Tromsø for a cable car ride and lunch at the top of the Storsteinen. Afterwards you will be transferred to the port where your expedition ship awaits.
Please note that the order of sites may vary.
