Set against a backdrop of the majestic Lofoten peaks, you’ll visit Svinøya, the oldest part of Svolvær, where you can see the famous stockfish drying racks and red rorbuer, former fishing cabins. The skrei season here, Norwegian Arctic cod, runs from January to April. You’ll get insight into how important this fishing season is for the community and learn about life in Lofoten today.

Remarks/requirements: Fish is only hung on drying racks in March/April. Wearing snow grips on footwear is recommended.
